Optimisation incorporates the natural, practical and planning constraints that normally apply to wind farm
construction. The optimum required may be the maximum energy yield or the minimum cost of energy.
Optimisation algorithms requires incorporation of the many boundary conditions that exist for real sites. These constraints include land ownership boundaries, wake effects of one turbine on another, the resultant noise level at nearby dwellings, natural restrictions such as steep slopes, rivers and bogs and planning constraints.
Wind Measurement International will create an agreed constraint map with yourselves prior to running any optimisation routines to maximise both your project value and minimise your planning risk. |
